that lay below是the mountains的定语,翻译时定语要放前面,即“位于下面的山”.
1.lie.疑问句的时态由助动词did承担,应该用原形.far below"下面很远的地方",也做定语.
2.had.have trouble有麻烦.ran after是“追赶”,follow“跟上”,ran“跑”,都不符合题意.
3.couldn't be seen.句子意思是“不再能看到山了,它们不能被看到了”.山被看,所以用被动.
