英语中possible有什么用法
用一些搭配比如说be amazed at这一类的方法告诉我

比较了手头的好几本词典，觉得以下用法说明最好：
possible
1.可能的
It is not possible. 那是不可能的。
It is possible that he has left. 他可能已经走了。
All possible means have been tried. 一切可能的办法都试过了。
Is it possible for their hopes to be realized? 他们的愿望能实现吗?
2.合适的，可接受的
He is the only possible man for this position. 他是唯一适合担任此职的人。
3.(与最高级连用表示强调)最…的
This is the best possible answer. 这是最好的回答了。
She answered in the most pleasant manner possible. 她以最最和蔼的态度作了回答。
◇as…as possible 尽可能地，越…越好
Drive as carefully as possible. 尽量小心开车。
I need the money as soon as possible. 我需要尽快得到这笔钱。
if possible 如果可能的话
Work together, if possible. 可能的话，就一起干。
【用法】
1.按英语习惯，可说：It is possible that we will win the match.=It is possible for us to win the match. 我们可能会赢得这场比赛。但不能说：We are possible to win the match.
2.习语if possible可视为it is [was] possible的省略形式：I’ll help you if (it is) possible. 如果可能我会帮助你。类似的还有when possible, whenever possible, where possible, wherever possible等：Whenever possible, they should be typed. 只要可能，都应把它们打出来。/ Avoid structures of this kind wherever possible. 只要可能，就要避免这种结构。/ Where possible, they tried to acquire colonies. 只要可能，他们就设法取得殖民地。
3.当受最高级或only修饰时，可置于被修饰名词之前或之后：We will finish the work in the shortest possible time.= We will finish the work in the shortest time possible. 我们将在可能的最短时间内完成这项工作。 / That is the only solution possible.=That is the only possible solution. 这是唯一可行的解决办法。
