My First Toy
I was born at the begining of the 80s,which was a few years after the reform and open policy.There were not as many toys as today,so my first toy was very impressive,it was a beautiful doll.
Although I was only five or six at that time,I clearly remembered that day when my parents bought me to a toy fair.I was excited to see so many toys,and I liked a car and a doll very much.But we were poor at that time and we could not afford both of them.My mother decided to take the doll.I thought it was because cars were for boys and dolls were for girls.We took the doll home and she companied me for many years.I used to design and make new dresses for her by myself.
To today's children,it was quite a common doll.But for those children of the old days,it was such a precious present that I still remember it now.
