in 一般表在……内,on表在……上
树：本身的用on,非本身的用in
地理位置：内部用in,如北京在中国北部,用in the north of China.接壤用on 如河北在河南北侧,on the north of Henan.不接壤用to 如日本在中国东方,to the east of China.
