watch与stare at的意思有些不同,我觉得watch不仅是眼睛做"看"的动作,还要用脑子；而stare at 在"看"这个动作上比较侧重,不太含有动脑的部分.
比如：
看电视就用watch TV,因为你不可能跟个傻子似的呆呆得看着电视而不用脑袋想吧,不用脑袋怎么能理解电视里讲什么,只有傻子才stare at the TV 呢（他不会理解那里面的内容的）!
具体的语法我讲不了,因为我不是词典,但是我心里就是这么理解的.
